Fact-Checking Policy
Every factual claim on this site has to be traceable to a source we can name, and anything we cannot trace is either attributed, softened into advice to check, or left out.
Updated
The basic rule
If we cannot point to where a fact came from, we do not state it as fact. That sounds obvious, but casino content is full of numbers copied from other casino content. A withdrawal time quoted on one site becomes "fact" on ten others, long after the casino has changed it. We try hard not to be the eleventh.
What gets checked
| Type of claim | How we check it | If we cannot confirm it |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus value and structure | Casino promotion page and full bonus T&Cs, read on the day of publication | Not published; reader told to check the casino's current terms |
| Wagering, max bet, expiry, limits | Full T&Cs; we note the date we read them | Described in general terms with a prompt to check the current T&Cs on the casino site |
| Game details and RTP | Studio's own game information or the in-game help panel | RTP omitted or described as a range the studio publishes |
| Payment methods | Cashier and payment help pages | Listed only as shown by the casino, with a note that availability can vary |
| Licensing and operator details | Casino footer, then the regulator's public register | We say we could not confirm it and explain what that means for you |
| Helplines and support services | The organisation's own website | Not published until confirmed |
Our routine before publication
- Each number, name and date in the draft is marked and linked, in our working notes, to a source.
- Figures that can change (offers, limits, methods) are re-read on the casino site on the day the page goes live.
- External links are opened to confirm they work and say what we say they say.
- Safer gambling information, including the GamCare number 0808 8020 133, is checked against the organisation's own site.
- The page is read once more in full on a phone, because errors hide in layouts as well as words.
After publication
Offer pages are re-checked weekly and other product pages monthly. When something changes, we update the page and the "Updated" date at the top. We do not change the date without changing the content.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it as soon as we have confirmed the correct information, normally within two working days of a report. If the mistake could have affected a reader's decision, for example a wrong figure in a bonus description, we add a short correction note at the end of the page stating what changed and when. Minor fixes such as typos are made without a note.
Found an error? Email contact@trixinocasino.co with the page address and the source for the correct information. See our contact page for what to include.
What we do not do
- We do not use AI-generated or third-party figures without checking them against a primary source.
- We do not quote "average" payout times from forums or other review sites.
- We do not present marketing claims from the casino as independent findings; where we repeat them, we attribute them.
